Believing that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world, the vision of the Solar Under the Sun is to illumine our fellow human beings with hope and life through solar energy.

To do this, SUS trains volunteers to design and install solar power systems with communities that lack reliable electrical power.

Oklahoma Presbytery Network

The three Oklahoma Presbyteries of Synod of the Sun have developed ways to strengthen their witness within the State together.  Each presbytery has appointed persons to serve on the OPN Team that discusses way we can share resources, plan programs together and facilitate relationships among Oklahoma Presbyterians.

A network of over 80 Commissioned Pastors in the Synod that support each other with resources, programs, conversations, and camaraderie.

The network is currently preparing to host the Empowering Commissioned Pastors Conference, to be held in Dallas in October 2020.

Synod Youth Workshop

Held at the University of Tulsa in the month of July, Synod Youth Workshop is a week long event designed to provide youth and adults with an opportunity to receive and share the Gospel of Christ, create communities of faith, reach out to the world around the event, and honor our calling to be Christ-like.

The Hispanic Ministries Mission Network provides a center point for Presbyterian Hispanic pastors and church leaders in Synod of the Sun to come together for mutual support, for ongoing learning and professional development, and for taking action to strengthen Hispanic congregations and leaders.

The Synod of the Sun Presbyterian Disaster Network will provide disaster assistance training, preparation, and response resources for churches and their communities by sharing resources and fostering a mutual network of support to better equip communities in times of natural and human-caused disaster. Our purpose is to communicate, coordinate, cooperate and collaborate in disaster preparedness, disaster relief, and post-disaster recovery.

Established by concerned Presbyterians in the Synod of the Sun.
